BOYS AGED 7 - 11 WITH BOARDING FROM 9

The Grange provides a secure and safe environment for boys aged 7 to 11 years.  It provides an excellent academic grounding in all core subjects with a varied curriculum including art, drama, music, chess and sport.

We have specialist subject teachers to introduce your son to science, physical education and music, with the opportunity to try a wind or string instrument.  The School has regular successes in sport, music and chess at county and national levels.  Educational visits enable boys to extend their knowledge beyond the classroom.

The school provides a staged introduction to Monmouth School, using the School Chapel for its services and all the main school’s superb sporting facilities.  Some specialist teaching, including music, is provided by staff from the senior school. A high number of scholarships are awarded each year as boys move confidently into Monmouth School.

There are before and after school facilities, and a large number of clubs and societies meet during lunchtimes and after school.  Boys may board from the age of 9.

The school day runs from 8.35am to 3.55pm, with optional after-school activities until 5.15pm and after-school club until 6.00pm.  A full programme of extra-curricular activities, (including music, sport, art, chess, etc), is arranged during lunch hours and after school.
