Grange Band is part of a pattern of symphonic wind band activity that runs across all ages at Monmouth School involving some 140 players. There are currently 24 boys in Grange Band which rehearses weekly in the Glover Music School, having access to the school’s impressive range of orchestral percussion instruments. The band performs regularly in parallel with Grange Orchestra at the Carol Service, at Speech Day and in assembly. Repertoire is varied and includes pieces of a jazzy and bluesy nature as well as film music.

Grange Band has appeared at both the Hereford and Cheltenham Festivals and has taken part in the Hilston Park adventure. From time to time, members of Grange Band are involved with Junior Symphonic Winds and in July 2009 10 boys went on a five day tour to Paris!
