Boys get into character at a day out at the Roman Museum, Baths and Amphitheatre at Caerleon, as part of their studies of the Romans. Dressing up in armour is always popular!
Prep III boys enjoyed a first-hand experience thanks to an imaginative interpretation of the Civil War at Chepstow Castle.
Harrison said, ‘The most interesting part of the school trip was when the soldier explained how to load a musket. The fighting must have been very slow as it took 5 minutes to re-load a gun!’
As part of their history studies, boys in Prep III were taken on a trip to Tintern Abbey where they were given a guided tour by Brother Thomas - a monk from the 15th century!
