Grange Prize Giving

The Grange held its annual Prize Giving this Friday, bringing the end of the year to a joyous close.  Relatives, friends, staff, governors and Haberdashers all joined the boys in congratulating them on their hard work and achievements.

Mrs Elaine Thomas, Head of the Grange, reflected on all the boys have achieved over the past year, be it in the classroom, on the sports fields, in music or in the arts.  Mrs Thomas encouraged the boys to continue to try hard and set high but achievable goals, and above all, to be considerate of others.

The Head Boy, Gus, recalled his fond memories of The Grange as he prepares to move up to Monmouth School in September.  Gus thanked his two deputies, his teachers and Mrs Thomas for “four brilliant years at The Grange.”

The Master of the Haberdashers’ Company, Mr Bruce Powell, addressed the boys, while his wife, Mrs Lizzie Powell, presented the prizes.

The Headmaster Dr Steven Connors brought the proceedings to an end by wishing pupils and parents a happy summer.  Guests were then entertained by the school performing a medley of traditional Welsh songs, and had the chance to listen to the school orchestra and see a colourful and varied art exhibition.
