In celebration of St. David’s Day, Haberdashers’ Monmouth School for Boys organised a vibrant “wear red day” and a sell-out bake sale. The event proved to be a huge success, raising a commendable £107. The funds collected will be directed towards supporting two noble causes: the Wales Air Ambulance and the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.
The Welsh Air Ambulance Charitable Trust and the Velindre Fundraising program are two vital initiatives dedicated to providing crucial assistance and support to those in need. These organisations play pivotal roles in the healthcare landscape, offering essential services and care to communities across Wales.
In addition to these efforts, the school has also actively participated in the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal by selling daffodils. This initiative, part of the Great Daffodil Appeal 2024, aims to raise awareness and funds for Marie Curie’s vital work in providing care and support for people living with terminal illnesses and their families.
The school extends its gratitude to all students for their unwavering support in making these fundraising events a resounding success. It is through such collective efforts that the school community continues to make a meaningful impact and support those in need.
