Plate tectonics with a difference!

October 8, 2016

tectonicsWhat better way is there to learn physical geography, than with the use of Mars bars? The boys in Prep IV have been learning about the structure of Earth and the effect of plate tectonics rubbing together. To simulate this they used a Mars bar for each plate and pushed them together to create ‘Mars Bar Mountains’. The effect of the chocolate (crust) crumbling and the caramel (lava) oozing out is a perfect comparison. The boys thoroughly enjoyed eating their creations after!
